GTSC unveils a Derrick atop 1700 ft Training Well at its premises to provide hands-on experience for Green Hand personnel and development program in Drilling and Well Intervention.
The training well is located on the right side of GTSC main building as you enter
the center with coordinates of North 2695982 & East 0242604. The well was drilled using portable water well drilling rig in two stages. The first stage was drilled to 326 feet & 9⅝ inch casing was set & cemented.

The second stage was drilled to 1700 feet & 7 inch casing was set & cemented up to surface. The training well is equipped with 11 inch Casing Head, 11 inch Tubing Head Spool & 11 inch by 4-1/16 inch Xmas tree.
A 19 meter derrick was rigged up on the training well equipped with 20 tons main hoist, rotary table & 3 tons tugger line. The well was then completed with 3½ & 2⅞ inch downhole accessories & tubing without production packer.

This state of the art training well is fully equipped with 7000 gallons tanks, twin pump – pre filling & high pressure pump, 2 inch flowline, slickline unit powered by 65 HP diesel engines, fully air-conditioned training classroom cum workshop with slickline unit control console inside.

GTSC training well facility is able to provide well service trainings such as slickline,electricline, braidedline, coiled tubing & rig crew trainings.
