The largest stand-alone training centre of its type in the Middle East. The centre which opened in April 1993 has trained almost a million students in both Technical and Safety Courses.

We do provide Technical support for Competency Based Training in order to enhance a better understanding and excellent performance. GTSC has developed and implemented Competency Based Training System in the past years which is based on theory, practical hands-on using rig and simulators available at the centre.
GTSC provides Competency Based Training in the following subjects:
The duration of training is based on the level of trainee’s education/experience and the requirement of his job. Upon successful completion of training and passing the exam, the trainee will receive an international certification from International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) or International Well Control Forum (IWCF) for the Key courses attended. In addition to the above, following HSE short courses certification will be issued as part of the program.
And based on location requirement; Defensive Driving for onshore personnel and BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) for offshore personnel. |

This type of training can provide better effect than on-the-job training given onsite. It can objectively eliminate the industrial accidents/incidents and give more opportunity to get hands-on experience going through anticipated problems that may encounter during life time operation. Such experiences can eliminate any possible damage to equipment or injury to person. The competency based training program with practical hands-on experience on variety of latest technology simulators and is designed to suit all companies which can also be tailored as per their requirements.
